Using 'se manquer' in the third person
Post Body

I understand that, for English speakers, 'se manquer' is used in a counter-intuitive fashion. For example:

  • I miss my dog --> Mon chien me manque.

But how would I do it in the 3rd person? For example:

  • She misses her cat --> Son chat lui manque. (?)

I'm going to tag on another stupid question while I'm at it. When discussing the names of pets, would you use s'appelle? The dog doesn't call himself anything, so making it reflexive seems odd. I'm the one doing the naming, so would it be 'Le chien m'appelle Fido'?
