Hi all!
I'm a relative beginner in French (I took French from 6th through 11th grade, but I'm now a junior in college and a tad out of practice). I'm traveling to Montreal for a weekend with some friends and I'm putting together a bucket list of things to do but I also thought it would be beneficial to put together a French bucket list of things to try to speak to others about, since I've never actually been to a Francophone country before so I haven't had the opportunity to speak French a ton.
Right now I have a few pretty stereotypical ones - ask for directions, order food, etc., but I'd like to think of a few others to at least think about trying over the weekend so I can at least say I've spoken French in a Francophone country 😅. Does anyone have any other ideas of things to try to talk to people about/speak in French?
On a side note, I really want to push myself to speak as much French as I can, but I'm super anxious about simply not knowing how to say things and having to figure it out on the fly without resources - any tips?
