To Flatbed or not to Flatbed
Post Body

I was recently offered a position at a reputable, decent size brokerage that only run flat beds. I have 0 experience in that but about 4 years working at a smaller brokerage and 2 as a dispatcher for a 60 truck fleet (both ran all reefer units). So most of my experience is in produce or frozen product. This new job is offering to start me at about 63k plus commission (2-3k first year then is claiming after that expect about 15k). So it ended with expect that by this time next year to be closer to 80k and made it sound as there is an abundance of potential for growth. I am currently still working full time as a dispatcher bringing in about 60k. Should I make the jump? Where I'm at currently I feel comfortable and confident that I know absolutely everything, Its 20 minutes closer to my home and I find it very easy but also boring and unfulfilling. 28M in West Coast if that factors in at all. Any advice welcome, especially if you're in the flatbed game.
