Best way of creating a tentacle structure?
Post Body

I'm currently building a sword that requires a tentacle to wrap around the guard prong and tappers to a pointed end, similar to 'Mathematical Sea Shell' by Paul Bourke (Spiral Nature (paulbourke.net)). If it intersects the body of the prong it would still work very well for the aesthetic I'm going for. Essentially, it's a sword that is inspired by Davy Jones of the Pirates of the Caribbean. I tried adding a Helix from the Part wrokbench and using it as a both to sweep along but not 100% on what I'm doing wrong where it doesn't let me use it?
