I'm about to be a senior and rush chair and my best friend's brother is coming down in the Fall. Me and some of my friends are trying to convince him to rush (and he kind of has a given because he already knows everyone). He's been going back and forth on wanting to do it, but he's openly gay and is worried that he's not going to be able to connect/bond because of that. He's not one of those "yaaaaasss" gays that's annoying about it and frankly you'd probably never be able to tell by talking to the kid (but I could be biased since I've known him since we were kids). He seems to fit in pretty well and the kid can fucking party harder than any other 18 yr old I know.
Anybody been in this where you went out of your way to make a gay pledge/brother feel more comfortable and at home? What can I tell him to ease his nerves a bit?
