Context: I rushed this spring semester and got a few bids and i ended up not going through with anything. Then about every fraternity on campus went on cease and desist or probation over hazing alligations so nothing much was going on. 2 of my roommates who i consider my best friends had accepted their bids at this fraternity, so with me having nothing to do i would go with them whenever they were doing something at chapter when they were given the thumbs up to invite me. I bonded with all the guys and they had told me they would underground bid me once off probation. turns out they didn’t come off of probation until 3 weeks ago and so I started as an “unofficial pledge” practically a 3 week hell week as their was only 3 weeks left. they have told me that I will need to walk at bid day next semester and go through the initiation ceremony’s at the beginning and ending of the semester then I will be officially a brother.

Sounds fucking sick right?

the dilemma is they are giving all of my pledge class the option of reclassing to next semester to join the next pledge class to really get the full experience of pledging, as the whole class this semester got robbed of only 3 weeks. No one in my class wants to do it and just stick with already being initiated at the end of this week. Should i pledge again next semester? did i really miss out that much?
