Question about my confirmation email

So I ordered a Magazine on December 7th and still haven't received a confirmation email any shipping info or updates. Is that normal?
edit: I may have been misleading in my first post, I did receive an order confirmation and order# right after I purchased it. I haven't received a shipping confirmation email or any updates for 8 days now. Is that normal?
