So I've had difficulty getting portforward working for a while on my computer. When I first tried Foundry way back when, it worked fine, but something went wrong along the way. I could get it working with a firewall exception briefly, but now it won't work at all.
I recently uninstalled my antivirus (Norton), got a new router, ran CCleaner, and updated foundry. Looking into "Game Invitation Links" I see the green checkmark that I didn't use to before with the message "your connection seems to be open" when I hover over it. and YET when I try to test the connection on my side (using the internet link and entering it into a browser) I get the error message that "XYZ refused to connect".
I've created inbound and outbound exceptions in the windows firewall for the port in use, TCP and UDP both and it still doesn't work. I'm uncertain what I'm doing wrong at this point, does anyone have any pointers?
