I understand that his whole schtick revolves around not caring about anyone but himself and his own, but Lucy saved him from going feral, let him have access to an entire building’s worth of free vials, drugs, and supplies, and then didn’t take the chance to shoot him in the back of the head and agreed to travel with him all the way to Nevada to help him find Hank. She even euthanized a feral right in front of him, showing that she truly does have sympathy for those people and wasn’t just trying to prove him wrong when she gave him the vials earlier. Surely that’s gotta make him see her as worth caring about (albeit not as much as his family), right? He may be evil, but he’s not a completely depraved monster. I feel like he’s capable of liking someone after they do all that work for him.
