Complete lack of support from family on my decision to foster. Idk why I expected anything else but it is still hurtful and disappointing.
Post Body
Just wondering if anyone can relate.
If my wife and I had a biological child there would be an effing parade from both our families.
But since we decided on fostering and / or adopting… there’s just fear. Trepidation. Why’s, but’s, “it’s so hard” (even though they had never done it), etc.
Absolutely no talk on whether they’d be supportive or help in any way. It’s just. Disappointing.
