I am officially volunteering with Children Services and was wondering if anyone would suggest books on how to work with and help kids with trauma. I am not a psychologist and know how to be sensitive towards others, etc... For I myself suffer with anxiety and depression, but PTSD is foreign to me and I want to make sure I don't trigger past trauma or say something insensitive.
Edit: Thank you all for the suggestions, even though I am not Fostering/raising the teen and am working more in a big sister program, I am sure all these suggestions will help. I f there are any books geared more to teens please share.
