So, I had a long weekend this week, so I offered to be the emergency foster at my local shelter this weekend. I got a call that they had 3 ~3 week old kittens that needed bottle feeding while they tried to trap their mom. No problem! I go and pick up some delightful brown tabbies, they're happy but finnicky eaters, and are doing great. My husband got a call from his dad asking if he could feed their three cats for a couple days, absolutely! That's only about an hour of our day total.
Then today, when walking our dog we heard what had to be either a kitten or a very clever raven absolutely wailing. I rushed over and found a tiny, feral, orange and white kitten burrowed into a hollowed out board in our retaining wall, he was the spitting image of our friendly neighborhood tomcat. When he saw us he hissed, and tried to burrow deeper into the wall. He promptly got his head stuck between two boards. My husband and I, with one skiing glove on each tore the logs apart, and got the little idiots head out. He is about 6-10 weeks old (I haven't gotten a good look at him) so is an ideal candidate for socialization, and we'll bring him into the shelter tomorrow. For now he is pouting in our bathroom.
To count. We have two resident cats, 3 bottle babies, 3 cats we are cat sitting, one feral hostage, and one very dubious resident dog.
*Edit* I was asked for pictures of the dum dum Wall Cat, \"Wally\"
