Would it be cruel to keep a 15 year old foster cat in one bedroom?

Post Body

Hi everyone! I have never fostered an animal before but I do volunteer with a local cat rescue. They have a sweet, beautiful 15 year old cat right now who lost her owner to dementia. I feel awful seeing her sad and confused in that tiny cage. Iā€™m thinking of fostering her, however I have two cats already (one being a VERY rambunctious kitten that would be too rough with an elderly cat). Would it be cruel to foster and confine the old cat to a bedroom? I figure it beats a cage but part of me feels very guilty about it. Any input is greatly appreciated, thank you!
