I’m just beginning this by saying the hot wheels dlc is amazing. It’s incredibly immersive and the progression system really adds to the gameplay throughout the stages. The backstory about hot wheels as a brand / company is something I didn’t know I needed so much in my life.

The problem for me was the legend rank. Like wow that was a terrible ending. You finally unlock the best of the best when it come to car ranks and the best hot wheels dlc can do for you is make you replay all of the race types on the rivals game mode that they’re trying to push and to add Salt to the wound you have to play 50 miles of both horizon open racing and horizon tour both of which in my opinion are severely lacking and I feel a bit justified in saying that considering how long it took my game to find me an active group / team to join.

The legend rank for me was just boring. Like the game was trying to push niche gameplay onto players who otherwise wouldn’t have looked at it. In terms of longevity I am so glad that I bought this game within a few years of release or else I could quickly see achievement hunting becoming borderline impossible like with doom externals online achievements.

This is somewhat of a rant but after possibly the best racing dlc I’ve ever played (definitely the best horizon dlc I’ve ever played) it just felt a bit like they hyped it all up just to push rubbish onto their player base. I would have much rather preferred to have a massive final event bigger than the Goliath race, something where you had times limits but had to be seriously careful incase you actually did fall off the map like you were warned could happen in the beginning.

Idk if other people think this and sorry if this is become a rant. Just somewhat disappointed.
