So, last night I had my first-ever rodeo experience at the Fort Worth Stockyards. And wow—I did not realize how serious people take their boots around here. 👀
Here’s the thing: I thought I was prepared... I wore this cute little dress, a denim jacket, and a pair of (admittedly cheap) boots I grabbed at a store in Dallas. But as soon as I walked in, I could feel the judgment. 😅
Every girl there looked like she’d stepped out of a country music video—perfectly broken-in leather, intricate stitching, and that confident stride that says, “Yes, I’m legit.” Meanwhile, I’m over here stumbling because my boots have no grip. I almost spilled my drink on this guy who looked like he’d been bull-riding since birth. He just smirked and said, “City girl, huh?” 🙃
Now I’m torn. Do I fully embrace the rodeo vibe and invest in some “real” boots, or just accept that I’m the Dallas girl who doesn’t quite fit in? Also…is it just me, or are cowboy hats secretly really attractive on certain guys? Asking for a friend. 😏
P.S. Shoutout to whoever recommended that margarita place down the street—absolutely worth it. 🌟
