So I have this laptop almost 3 years old. The specs are,
i3, 4th Gen
8 GB RAM
Nvidia GT520m, 2 GB
Color: Black
So I never thought FoNiBR would run on this system even though minimum specs say i3 compatible. Most of the games released in 2017 are not supported. So I was about let go, but since it was free I decided to give it a try.
And it worked. On High graphical settings, it runs on 15 fps. Bad and irritating. On Medium Specs, it reaches 24 - 30 fps easily, but when multiple players or explosion occur, it goes down as 10 fps.
Then came low settings. With only Draw distance at high while all settings at low, game runs at 25 -30 fps consistently.
I think devs deserve huge appreciation that they developed a game that can be still played on some old systems. People like me who can't afford a high end system or afford to upgrade to new system every now and then would appreciate such efforts from devs.
In today's time when every game dev tries to out-do other games in graphical development, Fortnite devs have not. Rather they have given interesting game that can be enjoyed by people with new system and old systems alike.
THANK YOU DEVS.
