Other games keep their OG maps over the years. Why can’t Fortnite do the same?

Post Body

The truth about OG Fortnite is that we understand that it could stay permanent. We were just exploring at the time when the game first came out. We were discovering new things. With all these new maps we’ve learned that the first one was the best. Other games such as Call of duty and Counter-Strike pretty much revolves around OG maps. That’s they’re foundation. A new Call of Duty without a Nuketown, Rust, Terminal feels like it’s missing something and a Counter-Strike without a Dust 2, Inferno, Mirage is a big no no. They keep the same map over the years and people still openly play them without complaint as long as the maps are improved. The reason why they can keep the same maps is because the gameplay in every game is completely different. There’s competition and such on maps that were out for decades. Why wouldn’t Fortnite do the same with a map that spike their player base in millions? People want to complaint about losing it’s nostalgia sparkle if it’s permanent. Great! Who cares. What is epic winning from withholding OG Fortnite from players? To have another player spike? No one wants to play cat and mouse. It’s not even about nostalgia anymore. It’s about familiarity. We don’t necessarily want a new map. We just wanna play the way we’re used to. Simplicity. I can’t even think of another map beside OG Fortnite. Just make it permanent Epic. Thank you!
