Hi everyone!
As some of you might remember, I recently announced that I’ll be working on a film project set right here in Fort Myers. I’m thrilled to share that planning is well underway, and we’re getting closer to making this vision a reality.
One of the key decisions we’re working on is choosing the format for shooting the film: 1. Film (e.g., 16mm or 35mm) – Known for its timeless, textured look, perfect for creating a nostalgic or artistic vibe, but it’s pricier. 2. Digital – Offers flexibility and affordability, with easier workflows for editing and distribution, though it lacks the unique feel of film.
Since this film is inspired by Fort Myers and its community, I’d love to hear your thoughts on which format you’d prefer for this project. Your input will help shape the visual style of the movie!
Additionally, if anyone knows about local grants, funding opportunities, or resources for filmmakers in the area, please feel free to share them. We’re working hard to make this the best it can be and would greatly appreciate any leads.
Thanks for all the support and enthusiasm so far—I’m excited to bring this to life and showcase the beauty and stories of Fort Myers!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions!
