Medicaid Behavioral Health Finding a Provider
Post Body

I'm a bit embarrassed to post this in a local sub, but has anyone else experienced this? I'm currently on Medicaid/Colorado Health First. I find myself in need of psychiatric help (not a hospital if it can be avoided), ideally a psychiatrist or at least someone with the capability of prescribing medication. However, the lists Health First gives me are always dead ends. The doctors don't actually accept Medicaid I've noticed, or else just aren't accepting new patients. I'm just so frustrated feeling like I'm gonna be waiting months for help and potentially never find someone before my mental health tanks further.

If you've found psychiatric care with Health First, how did you do it? I appreciate any responses, thank you.
