Anyone else find "Conflagration" to be annoying?

A literal dome of fire magic SOUNDS cool, but every time I trigger the ability I feel like I basically just can't see anything and nothing sticks around inside the dome for long. It just blinds me more often than not. I also find it horribly annoying that going into any kind of close range combat essentially means you're gonna get hit like immediately and thrown 10 feet while the enemies barely flinch as you run them through with a magic lightsaber.
