Hey, everyone! Just wanted to start by thanking this sub. My LO is 4 weeks old and I struggled a lot with BF. I tried to transition to EP, but it got mentally draining very quickly. I just couldn't stand doing it anymore. Although I had a lot of guilt, we decided to transition to formula.
My paediatrician (after a fairly dramatic back and forth about how I'd regret stopping production), recommended Enfamil Gentlease and gave us some samples. I decreased my pumping starting that day (tuesday this week) from 6 times a day to 3. Im already barely producing any milk now. Does the transition happen this quickly? What were your experiences with transition?
I find there is not a lot of information on this topic online from the breast side of things and my pediatrician gave me such a hard time, I didn't feel comfortable asking about it. How did y'all do this transition to no longer pumping/BF? How quick was it? My breasts aren't as sore or engorged as I imagined they'd be.
