A bit of analysis of the gen 3 car
Post Body

Dont let the paper plane looks fool you there is a good car hiding underneath there.

Lets start with the open wheels, single seater racing cars do look amazing with amazing with open wheels in my opinion. Why have they done that, first less debris in event of contact, second now that wheels are open drivers will think twice before doing overly risky manouvers

Front wing is now more complex consisting of upper and lower elements and endplates, also the wing will me more sensitive to crashes

Powertrain at front means a bigger frontal area required for holding the same hence the weird shape in top view since is front is not that narrow. That combined with more complex front wing will increase the downforce at force essentially changing the characteristics of car, requiring a change in driving style from the drivers too. Expect some driver changes and shake ups.

Overall the body work has been very simplified and streamlined which should help with some aero improvements, don't get me wrong the gen 2 car was looker but some elements body work were complex and weren't necessary. Same goes with rear with a simplified version of rear wing evolved from gen 2 evo.

Also the cars are smaller in dimensions and more powerful which is all for the better.

So i think this is a good upgrade just that the looks we will eventually get used to it.
