Hello!

I totally had most of this written in my head but now as I watch the cursor blink I'm drawing a blank. We'll just have to work through this and hopefully it turns out to be a legible post. Wee!

I feel like I could fill this with disclaimers; however, I will try not to. But, here are two to save anyone from reading what might end up being a long post only to be dissapointed:

This might just be my Napoleon complex but I have it deeply ingrained in my psyche that 99.9% of woman are looking for a man 5'9" - 6" and above. Sadly, I am vertically challenged and I am only 5'7". So if height is a deal breaker you are freed from reading any further, go be merry!

I'm not without my own quirks when it comes to appearance so I don't hold a grudge for potentially being ruled out due to height. Everyone has their thing. Speaking of which, this might be another deal breaker and it is the NSFW portion of this post so let's get it out of way early too. Here goes:

I tend towards the kinky spectrum sexually and have a pretty common sexual fetish: female feet. I've come to accept it as an important part of my sexuality and so for anything other than a friendship my partner would ideally share this kink or at least be open to exploring it with me and indulging it for me. If feet turn you off then we wouldn't be a great match! I, of course, pledge to reciprocate kinks should you have one (or more...). Chances are I'll just be in to it though, lol.

Ok, two disclaimers out of the way. Whew! So about me. I'm a 41 year old man who is separated from my wife. If it weren't for Covid-19 we would be divorced, but hopefully it's official by the summer.

I definitely identify as a geek. I used to play Dungeons and Dragons on a regular basis and would still if I had the time and a group to play with. I enjoy most things sci-fi/fantasy but wouldn't classify myself as a super fan of any one particular book, movie or TV series. Sadly I do not know the thread count difference between Gandalf the Grey's robes and Gandalf the White's.

I also enjoy playing video games and am a reformed MMORPG player. I dont quite have the free time to sink in to an MMORPG at the moment but I've played many of the years starting with Asheron's Call and Ultima Online to Dark Age of Camelot and of course WoW.

Some games I am playing when I have the time are Elite Dangerous, Shadow of War, Anthem and Planescape: Tides of Numenera. Always up for a suggestion too! Solo or casual multiplayer games are generally what I look for now.

I enjoy the outdoors and spending time in nature as well. I'm happy enjoying nature on foot, on a bike or in a kayak. I've always had an affinity for nature and find it very recharging to go for a 'forest bath' when I can. I enjoy bird watching though I'm by no means an expert and generally get a thrill from seeing wildlife out and about. I made friends with an otter last summer while I was in my kayak, which was fun. I'd just read a story about a woman who was attacked by one in her kayak a couple months ealier so things were a bit tense at first. ;)

I guess in some ways I've never grown up, which is fine with me! But I can adult fairly well. I own my own condo, have a car, two jobs and I'm responsible with my money. I'm kind, thoughtful, empathetic, intelligent and funny.

While my personal life feels a little like a dumpster fire my professional life is fairly on point. My full time job is at a well known Art Museum where I get to work directly with the collection. I worked very hard to make a career out of it and I am, on a good day, proud of what I've accomplished. It's a great job that allows me to exercise a lot of creative problem solving while being surrounded by beautiful things.

My educational background is a BFA in Sculpture and an MA in Museum studies. Art is important to me but I've done a poor job of making time and space to keep creating art. This is something I'm working on changing and I'm trying to bring that creative outlet back into my life with more regularity. I've taken up some photography and even won an honorable mention at a local fair for a nature photograph.

Politically I am more of a progressive liberal than a centrist. I was, and still am, a Bernie Sanders supporter and I believe in his platform and what it means for our country. If you're also left leaning but not a Bernie supporter that's fine. I'm not a Bermie Bro or a Bernie or Bust sort. I will vote for who ever is the Democratic candidate. I'm definitely progressive and believe in acting dramatically against climate change and working fervently to protect women's rights, worker's rights, human right's and equality for everyone.

Hopefully that's enough to give a general sense of me and perhaps pique your interest. Wouldn't want to give it all away in the post!

So what am I looking for? Well, ideally I'd be looking for a romantic relationship. I'm not in a position to relocate at the moment but that doesn't mean I'd rule out talking to someone long distance for now. I'm also fine with new friendships too and someone to talk to casually. I like to think I can carry a good conversation and that I'm a good listener.

I don't know that I necessarily have a 'type' when it comes to women. I dont need someone that shares every single one of my interests, I think it's perfectly healthy to have things to do together but to also have things we can enjoy seperately. I suppose it's a bonus if we share some geekery together as it would be nice to get excited over some of the same things of that nature.

I have an appreciation for a wide range of body types and physiques. I probably have a little bit of a thing for tattoos and piercings but those aren't must haves. I tend to be attracted to taller women, which seems cruel given my height, but again, not a deal breaker.

Ok, well I feel like this may be the worst 'dating' post ever but if it was at all interesting and you'd like to know more feel free to message me. For now, messages or direct chats on reddit work for me. I dont have a messenger of choice. I think I have a discord account kicking around from my Pokemon Go days that I could dust off eventually.
