It's time for me to stop being cheeky and cryptic with what I want. I have to just lay it all out. Cast a better net, not a bigger one.
I'm looking for someone special. My someone special, and I'll be theirs. I feel like I'm a bit of an old-fashioned weirdo in that regard, but that's fine. I'll admit to being weird, and I like it.
I'm a bit of a bigger guy, standing six feet tall, 250-ish pounds, though that's being worked on, broad, and I'm regularly compared to Jamie Hyneman and Walter White, so that should paint a decent mental picture of what's balanced on my shoulders. I've been told that I'm rather imposing at first glance, and I give off a "vibe" of being taller than I am. I think it comes from my posture, a side effect of ballroom dance when I was younger. I would like to get back into that, by the way hint hint nudge nudge.
Now that the scary part is out of the way, let's move on.
Physical touch is very important to me; it's my main method of showing someone I care about them, like them, all that good stuff. Hugs are fucking amazing and I've gotten pretty damn good at them! I have long noodly arms for a reason. Lots of other forms of touch are great too! However, I'm very particular about who I touch and who I let touch me. I maintain a strict hands off policy until everyone involved is comfortable, and I will outright say when I am.
I have a very mellow disposition, and I am apparently a very calming and comforting person to be around, according to some trusted sources. It's not an active thing I do, I don't think, but it's nice to know. My usual speaking voice isn't very loud or commanding, and I do my best to be polite. I'm also very easy to read once I allow myself to open up. That will take a while. Also, I can be very, very dense and obtuse. You have been warned.
I might be funny. I don't know sometimes. My sense of humor is typically off the wall and sometimes downright absurd, even morbid. I can also twist many innocuous things into jokes, or anti-jokes, without much effort. That said, I know there is a time and place.
I highly value creativity. I'm a musician when I'm not selling my body and what's left of my soul in exchange for slightly bigger numbers in my bank account, working on an album that's approaching the halfway mark. I also enjoy creative writing. Or rather thinking about what I could write and not knowing how to start it. Previously, I was developing my drawing skills but that fell by the wayside while I'm making loud noises disguised as music. I'm generally attracted to people who have developed creative skills, especially music and visual art. Beyond that, I am aiming to make a career in building guitars, and possibly general woodworking.
Oh yeah, and I'm also kind of one of those nerds you keep hearing about. I do enjoy video games and anime, but they're not really my main hobbies anymore. There are plans for going to a nerdy convention next year with a group of friends next year, though.
Now as for the person I'm looking for, the title pretty much explains it. I don't put too much weight in shared interests and hobbies, since I realized a while ago that successful relationships are built on who people are, not the pile of stuff they like that they carry with them, though it does help. It's not too much to hope for a creative, open-minded, cuddly person, is it? I don't think so. As for smol, that's just a bonus.
Now that you've made it through this pile of words, tell me about you! Tell me what your favorite unusual word is somewhere in your message to show you read this far. Also, I have this thing that lets me get into this one really famous rodent-based amusement park basically whenever, or something. But let's try to go beyond just one date! So smack me across the face with an orange envelope!
