About me

I am 36 year old single man living in Croatia. Never had kids and don't plan on having any in the future. I'm an introverted person who enjoys their alone time. When it comes to relationships I am a bit of a late bloomer. I had my first relationship when I was 35. The main reason I started that late is mainly due to depression in my teens and twenties, and being demisexual/demiromantic and not aware of it for so long didn't make it easier either. Since I made the decision to start dating I have also made some other changes in my life. I started actively working on my mental health through therapy and being more physically active. I have a career as a software engineer and work remotely from my home office. While I like living in Croatia I am not against relocating for the right person. I got no tattoos or piercing (don't mind them though) and I don't smoke, drink or do drugs. I consider myself an open-minded person, atheist and politically left leaning.

Hobbies

I play video games on my PC, watch anime/tv shows/movies, read manga and fantasy novels, and I love music (mostly modern metal with some classic music here and there). I like to try out new restaurants with friends. Going out for walks in nature or hikes. I do like to see more of the world so I do plan to travel at least once a year. For now I am trying to see more of Europe but would love to visit Japan one day. I have an interest in technology, science, computers and psychology/mental health.

What I am looking for

I am looking for a woman around my age, but a bigger age gap is not a deal-breaker. Smoking is a no, it's just something I can't deal with. You are also childfree and certain of it. I am not interested in a fencesitter. We should have some hobbies or interests in common. I am not looking for a woman who is an introvert, but you should understand that as an introvert myself I will need some space and alone time from time to time. You should have a job or some sort of income as I don't like the weird power dynamic that comes from financial dependence. I don't really believe in traditional male and female relationships as I don't have traditional values. I am looking for a life partner that will support me just as much as I support them. Emotional connection is super important to me, so I am looking for a person who is not afraid two show their feelings and is able to communicate well. You should have some experience, or at least understand the challenges that come with a long distance relationship and be willing to put in the work.
