I should also add I have cats and my most listened to artist this year was Taylor Swift.
If you are still reading, Hi!
I’m a 42 year old single mom living in NM. I’ve been single for basically forever. I’m often asked why I’m single and I think the reason is pretty simple: I’m a hermit, I’m attracted to men, and apparently my standards are too high.
What are these impossibly high standards you might wonder? Here, I’ll list them and you decide:
-age mid thirties to late forties
-I don’t do god, gods, or the church thing so ideally prefer someone that is agnostic or atheist
-Can’t want to have biological children. I’m over that life phase.
-no absentee fathers
-no young children that need babysitters for an evening out
-Has to be employed or have some legal independent means of support
-legally single
-emotionally available
-doesn’t live with an ex, parents, or some other weird fucked up living situation
-Can legally drive and ideally has a car, or own form of reliable transportation
-no criminal record
-no hardcore drugs
-no alcoholics
-no potheads (if it is part of your identification this is probably you, also if you use the phrase 420)
I honestly don’t think my list is all that wild. I’m 5’2” so height is never really an issue as most men are taller than me. I’m fat so I don’t judge others that are too. Your weight doesn’t matter much either as long as you can handle a 5ish mile hike on occasion.
I like girlie coded things like artsy stuff and crafting. I like walks and hikes. I like older sci-fi. I read romance novels that are all about love and finding your one person. I like Disney and animated stuff but never got into anime and have no interest in it.
I love love and just need someone in my life to share it with.
