I abhor fiction. Why anyone would want to immerse themselves in fictional worlds is beyond me. It makes me feel absolutely sick to do such a thing.
My best friend once asked me if the fact that "I don't like fiction" is because I was asked to interpret fiction at the special needs school that I attended from 2000 to 2004. The answer to that is "No.", but it was still very unpleasant.
They had me write a review of Galaxy Quest. They had me "socially interpret" Seinfeld and Beavis and Butthead. The sent a permission slip home for us to watch The Breakfast Club. After watching The Breakfast Club, we "had a class discussion" where we were to interpret it.
And even then, they took us on a field trip to go indoor rock climbing. I didn't go rock climbing because I thought it was stupid. My friend there didn't go rock climbing because him and his parents didn't like the permission slip from the place that excused the rock-climbing place if you died.
So, yeah... I don't like most things. But I really care about WHO I care about. The feeling when you feel you might need someone who has just as many problems with the world as you do is...something. I'm not sure anyone naturally dislikes "things" as much as I do. My best says that I'm very supportive when she vents toward me, so I'd be happy to be very supportive when you vent toward me.
