Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm!

I thought I would be upfront about these issues to avoid disappointment later down the line. I suffer from fibromyalgia (diagnosed by my doctor back in 2019) as well as numerous mental health problems (again, diagnosed by a professional when I was very young). I need to pre warn you that they do impact my daily life, however with the meds I’m on now things are slightly easier. I’ve been on a waiting list for a therapist, and I’m being assessed in a few weeks time.

The reason for this is that a lot of people got their hopes high about me and then ditched me in the end. I’m a work in progress but I am trying my best to get myself to an ok place so that my demons stay low. If this is something you can work with, please go ahead and message me. Update 20/02/24: Still waiting to be seen by a specialist, could wait up to a year as the waiting list is shockingly long. I cannot afford to go private. As long as this and any of my posts are up, it means I'm still looking so don't be afraid to hit me up!

What am I after? A male, aged 29 - 55 (I will not budge on the age, no matter how mature you think you are or you 'look old enough'), located in the UK/Europe/US (decided to expand my search as I had a lot of loving American guys messaging me and I thought, why not!). I don't have any preference when it comes to looks; as long as I like your face I'm happy. I'm not a perfect human being so it would be hypocrital to seek perfection. Definetely something loyal, loving, caring, affectionate, funny, hardworking, patient (plenty of that needed with mne) and understanding. Someone who likes to have a good chat and does not ghost; if you lost interest at any point just say so. No hard feelings. Oh, and someone with good hygiene; you'd be surprised how many people don't wash these days. I'm open to most scenarios but most of all, I am looking for a best friend and go from there.

Without futher ado: I'm Anita, your friendly 29yo Eastern European who is a fake red head with green eyes, weighs 180lbs (12.5st for the British lot) and stands 6ft tall (yes, I am that tall. No, no need to remind me every single day. Yes, I am definetaly a biological woman). I also wear glasses because I'm blind as a bat without them. I live in UK in county Somerset, in a small town. Will share more once we get talking! I'm an extreme introvert and always have been since I can remember; I found my own and loved ones company much more fun and fulfilling. I rarely leave the house unless it's for food or work.

I am NOT shy or a pushover. I can stand up for myself and those I love. And I don't need anyone to 'change me' or 'help me get out of my shell'. I'm perfectly happy with this. Why can't we all just live and let live? I am a vegetarian and been since late 2013; and I don't care if you are not. My choice is not to eat meat and yours is to eat it. As long as you don't have a problem with that, we will get along just fine.

I'm a tea addict, animal lover, bookworm, nap and snack enthusiast; and very much apolitical (sorry but they're all the same, just wrapped differently; none of them care about your or me or anybody).

I have 4 rescued cats whom I love with all my heart; in the last 10 years I rescued, fostered and rehomed close to 60 cats. I love all animals and have yet to meet one that I dislike. In my spare time I like to go for walks, nap, over eat, over think, visit my brother in London, read books, watch tv, go shopping with my mum and grab a coffee, chat shit with my ma, chill with my cats and my ma, listen to music and podcasts.

I don't watch anime and game a lil (does playing Sims count as gaming?) As you can tell, Im boring haha.
