Sydney's not really known for its rain. Abundance of sunshine and intense heat, yes. But unless its to do with the floods, then the rain has always been an afterthought. Which makes it all the more aggravating here in my apartment with its panoramic views that there has been no real rain to speak of - gimme just a good night of heavy rain so I can finally relish in what is bound to be a light-soaked, heavily drenched view of the city.

Hi!

I'm looking for someone who is just as off-kilter, quick-to-the-punch, and whimsical as I am. Someone who tempers these aforementioned qualities with a commitment to doing good (always), a willingness to speak their mind when it matters, and who is not afraid of the unknown. Yeah, I'm going to interject by saying that if you've even made it this far, just go ahead and message me. Most times when I'm at work, I cannot help but to talk as I type, which just confuses the heck out of people; and me doing the same thing in what is supposed to be a damn dating profile does not help the situation whatsoever. But... I guess that's the whole point.

This is who I am; and likely the reason why I'm here on this site in the first place.

Okay, to the quickfire round of Q&A:

30, male. 185cm tall, built like a rugby player during their off-season. Kiwi-born ex-pat, lived in 'Straya for a good six years now. Sydney's a pretty decent place all things considered, and it's my home now as far as I'm concerned.

Looking for someone my age or a bit younger. Physical attraction is a thing, of course, so I'm happy to share photos early on.

The majority of my work is customer-facing-- one-to-one consultations, meetings with key stakeholders, working with partners/vendors-- and as such, I love a good conversation. Quite often, 2–3-minute phone catchups with clients end up being two-hour chit-chats that I have to find some way of billing for.

Speaking of work: I'm a senior consultant in the world of IT. Did a stint in the military some years ago. Can also build a house and take care of general maintenance around the property. Live on my own in an apartment that the fellas have described as having "an actual, homely feeling" compared to the barren, sparsely furnished dwellings they call "home".

Hobbies? Well, there's books (psychology being a key feature on my shelf, along with military history and social science), music, and gardening. I'm good in the kitchen as well, and have all the tools you'd need to create a mean dish.

That's the important stuff, I think. I'll mention as well that preference is for you to be in the same time zone as me-- it pains me to say it as some of my very best friends live in far off corners of the world, but with dating in particular, I know I need to keep it close. DMs are preferable since Reddit chat is abhorrent. Pretty keen on moving to voice/video calls early on, before moving to the physical realm.
