Hi,
I've always seemed to get along better with females due to generally being more open when talking about difficult subjects such as mental health, yet I don't have many friends that are also into the same things as me;
I'm a big gamer (Anything Final Fantasy and Souls are my jam, I have quite a variety of games across PC and PS5 (too many to list, but we'll have some overlap I'm sure!), and at the moment I'm playing a lot of Overwatch 2, new season tomorrow!). I watch plenty of films and shows, generally anything superhero related, comedy or sitcoms... the odd horror film here and there, but I'm open to everything. Oh I'm also new to the anime scene too, so if you'd want to throw some recommendations my way, feel free to! I'm a bit of an artist (digital art, focused mainly on pixel art) and love music... if I had to throw out which genre I listen to most, it'd be metal, but honestly I listen to pretty much every genre out there lol.
Over the last few years I went through some really rough times and I'm trying to rebuild myself and feel like I need to be around new people for that, whether it's online or not.
To describe myself, I'm about 5'8, long hair (Had it cut just below shoulder length in March), arms covered in tattoos, terrible facial hair (like a wish version of Johnny Depp) and green/yellow eyes (pics on my profile if you want to laugh at me lol)... I have a pretty dark sense of humour and make inappropriate jokes in awkward situations, but I always mean well. I try my hardest to be there whenever I can, to the point where I'm pretty bad at looking after myself because I focus all my energy on others, I've been in a dark place and know what it's like, so I hate seeing other people like it.
One thing I hate about myself is my voice, growing up I always struggled speaking, didn't say my first word until I was 5 and had speech therapy until 16, now I'm fully articulate with words but have a lateral lisp (ssssss) which I despise, but people have told me it's not that bad or that they even like it, so I've no idea and maybe it's just in my head... either way I'm a very talkative person once I warm up to people.
Anyway enough about me, if you're a gamer, love your films, shows, music or art, please reach out to me, there's got to be someone surely!
Cheers,
Jay
