Why is it so rare for FA people to change their state?
Post Body

I've been on various support / self improvement subreddits (which I guess ForeverAlone is) for years and what's striking to me is that so few of the posts here are success posts relative to any other similar subreddit.

Apparently figuring out how to not being alone and unloved is harder than losing hundreds of pounds, paying off massive debts, overcoming abuse or addiction, learning how to be an expert at whole ass hobbies, etc. Or maybe people just don't post here anymore after they get a life? I don't know.

Personally I do think there is hope, but that's just based on going through my 20s feeling quite alone, no dates or even trying to get a date for years, and long distance from my closest friends, to where I am now in my mid 30s which is doing pretty okay in those areas I had zero in before.
