My new trans came pre blown up đ bonus picture of the truck so far
Basically this truck is midway through a 4x4 swap and flatbed, its a shitbox rn
Agreed, im not a fan of 4R100s either, but my sister wants to buy this truck, so its gonna stay automatic, i want it to be what she wants.
The good ole stop slip reman
The trans is already out, its a âremannedâ trans i got for the swap. I was hoping to toss a filter in it and install it today.
Yeah, the shit in the pan was fine for the most part, but there were parts of the coast clutches in the pan too.
I didnât expect to take that coast clutch drum apart to see some of the clutches broken in half. Didnt know that was even possible ngl. You can see some pieces in the second pic. Its back together now, overdrive and the CCD had some problems, the rest of the trans was mint. Basically just replaced all the friction discs, and steel discs, as well as a few bearings.
Maybe, i dont know. I think that could be a possibility
Yea, the trans is already out, im gonna rebuild it myself, but that definitely takes a good chunk out of my already tight profit margin on the truck. It slowly starting seem like im gonna lose money on this project lol

Oh its pretty bad. The metal sludge and chunks shouldnt be there, because this is a âre manufacturedâtransmission.
Generally when you pay for a new transmission, you should get a new transmission that is clean and doesnât have mangled snap rings and clutch material in the pan
