Its a sad sad day...
Post Body

Well actually it was a few days ago....my girlfriend owned a 2013 ford taurus SEL 2.0 turbo ecoboost...I worked on that car replacing ac system, the frontend was less then a year old (tie rods, struts, etc). I polished that paint job any chance i had despite some of bigger scratches.
I learned about sealed transmissions because of this car and complained about them any chance I had. ( A transmission with no dip stick or level sensor of any kind...a Lifetime in the auto parts world means 100,000miles).
I love late night riding on the highways doing like 90 or fonding someone else going fast and you "race". Because that 2.0 Ecoboost is almost a sleeper...go put some high octane gas in yours then floor that gas pedal.

When my gf first got the car she put a big zombi decal on both sides of the car and a big skull dripping on her hood and they looked good. One if the zombies was individual pieces and the whole decal was about 2ft x 3ft big. And she didnt even use soapy water...she didnt know you use soapy water to help...she put them on dry and almost prefect....i always bragged about her anytime somone commented about them. The car had about 250k miles and didnt have anything wrong with it...i would even tell people I was going to take it to 300k...

But a few days ago I driving home from work and hit someone from behind ( i had been working alot and was tired and i dosed off)0...it wasnt a bad wreck...but was enough to crush that front bar that bolts to the frame...put a hole in radiator...air bag deployed...i was so mad at myself

Well they of course the insurance totalled it...the car is 8 years old and has 250k miles...was expected.... we were going to buy the car back and i would repair it for less than they could...but after looking at the detailed estimate...we decided against it...we got more than we thought for the car but was still barely enough for a down payment...

I wrote this post so i could do an obituary for the Taurus. I am sad i feel like i could have saved it...i did keep the key fob. Now we have a ford explorer with payments (whispers that i am not sure we can afford) but will make it happen some how...for 6 years!!!

Goodbye Taurus i will recommend you to anyone...
