So yeah, a 2.0 and 2.3, externally same. Since my doner 2.3 is fron a ranger, i knew thete would be parts swapping! A shit ton to include the oil pan, filter housing, completr egr systes(that we would never disable) rear coolant manifold, durbo lines, and front cover. Turbo outlet studs a bit different, but i can mod the downpipe flange. Apoligies here yall, but I've just never dug deep in an ecoboost till now. Can some explain why the crank gear just floats on the crank snout, held in perfect place by the crank dampner bolt? Not conical, no Dowell, no keyway. Well my snap on guy had the timing tools I needed, cause you know, a balancer swap means timing the whole engine and all....The more you know! No worries this all right up my ally. A keywayed 2.3 crank and gear is $600ish ouch! I would not start a new build without that
