2016 Focus for sale cheap, seller states that it has the transmission warning light come on after driving for 20-30 minutes but if you turn it off and restart, it works fine again. I'm going to take a look tomorrow and check the actuator for signs of replacement or removal in case someone has already tried to lubricate/loosen the forks. I have an Escape with the same 6f35 transmission and had a similar issue that was resolved by a few good fluid flushes but the Escape does not have the dual dry clutch that the Focus has. I was also going to remove the drain plug for a second just to inspect the transmission fluid. If the fluid looks like it has never been changed, actuator never removed, and otherwise runs well with 117k miles should I buy it for $2,800? I would really love to get my better half a more reliable vehicle but I'm worried about rolling the dice on the transmission. If it's just old fluid or the forks needing to be cleaned and lubed I'm pretty comfortable doing the work but if it needs the transmission replaced I would be screwed...
