“Key not detected” in 2014 Ford Focus.
Post Body

The vehicle is not push to start. It doesn’t happen every time but enough that it’s driving me crazy.

So far, I’ve tried:

  • replacing key battery
  • replacing the anti-theft fuse
  • using the spare key

The lock and unlock buttons in the vehicle do not work either.

Has anyone else resolved this issue with other methods? Any idea what could be causing this?

Edit: I’m giving this a try today. -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk3IJYjqeCo

RESOLVED: the video above fixed the issue. I purchased 3 of these fuses and replaced them all: https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/other-electrical-related-parts/circuit-breaker-fuse-32-volt-50-amp-p-cv6z14526ca
