Truck having issues when in gear. Does it have to do with coolant?
Post Body

Hello, I have a 1994 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4. Last weekend I replaced the radiator support because it was rotted around the bushings. I also replaced the radiator. Today I turned it on and let it run for about 10 minutes before driving it for the first time. Leaving the driveway I saw that I was leaking fluid and my temperature was rising and I knew it was leaking coolant. I pulled back in the yard as fast as possible and saw the lower radiator hose was disconnected with the spring sticking out. I am going to order a new lower hose and spring, but my main issue came when I needed to get it in the garage. I reconnected the hose but did not re add coolant. I shifted it in gear and it moved about 6 feet before it just stopped. I tried to push the pedal but didn't even go up in rpms. I shut it off and re tried it. I got just enough to get it in the garage before it stopped moving again. Is this an issue with not having coolant in the engine or is this something else?
