Post Body

My water in fuel came on earlier while driving, I figured I'd just drain the filter tomorrow morning while at work. All of a sudden my reduced engine power message popped up. Will just draining the fuel filter fix it and am I doing any damage if I continue driving like that?

Update: Went to drain it and only diesel came out, unplugged the wif sensor and it was wet. Dried it off as best as I could and started it, water in fuel light still on. Gonna go back under and see if the sensor is still wet or damp and then take it for a drive.

Update 2: Went to drive again this morning, reduced engine power and water in fuel. Spoke to my service adviser that I deal with at Ford and he said worst case scenario is water got sucked up in the high pressure line. Best case the lower filter is might be loose. Said he never heard of reduced engine power coming on without a check engine light.
