Hi there, wondering if anyone has any info about canceling an extended warranty that was purchased with a new vehicle.
I bought a brand new F150 at the end of July 2019 and purchased the PremiumCARE extended warranty with it for $3,860 (I’m located in Canada if that matters). Looking into it I have decided that I would like to cancel the extended warranty if possible.
I took a look at the contract and it states that I can get a refund of the purchase price if the cancellation is completed within 60 days of the date of purchase. The 60 day window has obviously passed, but I’m wondering if there’s still an option to cancel. I’ve read online that it can be done outside of the 60 day window, but I would receive a pro-rated amount back rather than the entire purchase price.
I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with this circumstance or if anyone has information about it. Would I be able to still cancel the warranty and receive a partial refund or am I hooped?
Any insight would be awesome, thanks!
