2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid won't start. Car turns on, and all electrical components seem to work, but there is no power, and then the car shakes and dies.

I've tried replacing the camshaft position sensor, which didn't fix the issue. Then I had the car towed to the mechanic. They are saying the hybrid battery is completely dead and needs replacement, but I didn't see any signs it was dying beforehand.
Does anyone have any ideas?
