I am so viciously angry at these “people” on my team who constantly lose to a Sohei like he has any mixup potential at all (he doesn’t)

The only thing in Sohei you should try to be parrying are his lights and dodge attacks everything else you either just block or face tank because 1. His damage is so shit that there are characters who get his heavy damage off a bash 2. His stam usage is so bad that he is gonna have to take a break after a full rotation of his chain.

It’s a general rule of thumb that you shouldn’t bother parrying anything that isn’t unblockable or unfeintable (because it opens you up to a possible mixup that would have no danger to you if you just blocked instead) but with Sohei it is vital that you never let him guardbreak you because you are just allowing him to use his grab on some poor soul on your team who would easily beat the Sohei otherwise.
