Girls: How can you "tell" when a guy has a foot fetish?

Inspired by this comment by /u/pretzelreddit . It seems like a lot of girls have said it's easy to know when a guy has a foot fetish, and most guys say they rarely disclose their fetish outside of a relationship situation. So that tells me that either we are way less subtle than we think we are or there is something that distinguishes a fetishist with someone simply admiring a nice pair of shoes (for example). (Or do non-fetishist guys even do that?)
