Sole Care Is Self Care

I’ve been experimenting with different ways to care for and soften my feet for a a long time and I’ve found some things that work for me!

The first of course is to trim and file the nails, then shave the hair on the top of the foot and clean up around the ankle. (I usually like to shave or at least clean up the hair on my legs and the rest of me too depending on the season)

I like to do a foot soak and massage my feet, usually in a tub of warm water and epsom salt. I’ve started using DeEnti for my rough skin followed by a pumice stone, and I also have a foot file. I used to use a pedi egg but I don’t know how great the metal grating against your skin is for you.

After I exfoliate I’ll usually use after-sun gel, baby powder, vitamin E oil, Eucerin lotion or some combination of them. Then I’ll put socks on to both protect my feet and keep them soft. I’ve started applying lotion before bed and sleeping with socks on like a maniac to make them softer, more sensitive and more ticklish.

I view foot care as self care and it makes me so happy to relax and feel my soft feet in my hands or rub my soles together.

What’s your routine like? 👣
