Every week on the Queens of the Stone Age subreddit we take a dive into a band that has collaborated with, has influenced, has been influenced by or has toured with Josh Homme and our very own desert rockers.

This week marks ONE YEAR of these Band of the Week posts, and we've decided to celebrate that milestone with one of the greatest Rock and Roll bands of all time. The connections between the bands are well known. You are all aware that Dave was once the drummer for Queens and has played on two of their biggest albums - Songs For The Deaf and ...Like Clockwork..

You probably also know that Josh Homme joined Dave Grohl in the Sound City project, and that Josh appeared in Sonic Highways. And you all know that Josh and Dave were in Them Crooked Vultures together.

Wouldn't we all love some new TCV right about now?

Bottom line is that Josh and Dave are good friends and bandmates, so no band is more appropriate for #52 than the Foos.
