edit: whoops i messed up the tags/flair. I hope I did it right now!
Hello!
A few months ago my husband was laid off right before we were supposed to resign our apartment lease. Without income verification we had to leave everything behind. We have been blessed to be able to stay with a family member in another city so we wouldn't be out on the streets. The GREAT news is I have found two jobs and we will have a permanent home in a couple weeks!
I am making a humble request for dry goods to put in our pantry. We have access to produce and milk, but I just don't have the funds to get my kids healthy snacks for school or basic staples like rice and canned vegetables. I make almost everything we eat from scratch so I work hard to make things last and be very frugal, so if anyone is able to fulfill even a part of the list I will be able to feed healthy meals to my kiddos.
I also put some cleaning supplies on the list. The place we are moving into was left a mess by the previous people and I just don't have the funds to make it as clean as I would like. You would be helping us not only get back on our feet and stable again, but help us have a clean home where my children can thrive.
This past few months have been tough but now we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am working everyday to get us to a stable, happy place. I appreciate having this subreddit to make such a request and am thankful for the kind people here.
