Fave Midtown NYC Cozy Bars

My partner and I will be visiting in late September and are interested in the Bar scene Midtown. We're interested in checking out Employee's Only, Double Chicken Please, and other "famous" bars. But we're wondering, what's your favorite cozy, not that much of a hassle to get a reservation bar that has good cocktails?
