My whole life, I've suffered from deadly peanut and tree nut allergies. As I've gotten older, my levels have gone down significantly over the years. I went for blood testing last month and received skin testing last week and my allergist cleared me to eat cashews, pistachios, almonds (I've been eating almonds for years as I was cleared in 2010), brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, and pine nuts. The things I am still allergic to are peanuts, walnuts, and pecans. Even though I know I am not allergic to the nuts I listed prior, I am still very nervous to try them. It's almost like my brain won't let me ingest them.
Normally, my doctor does these "challenges" in the hospital under close monitoring, but she is letting us do them at home due to COVID. As I am not allergic anymore, I really want to be able to eat those nuts but for whatever reason, I cannot get myself to put them in my mouth. ANY advice to help out is greatly appreciated. Thank you, everyone :)
