An I allergic to chlorhexidine?

So I follow this community and read several posts about hibiclens healing them. Although Im 90% clear after using hibiclens for a few weeeks, recently I developed this itchy rash on where ever I applied hibiclens. It itch is severe during night time. I took steroids and the itch came down but yest I appolied chlorhexidine again and the skin is drying and crusty. My medications are done so Im Scared the itch is going to return.
Has anyone been allergic to hibiclens after several weeks of success?
