o2 sensor not ready

Put the stock downpipe back on to pass emissions. My downpipe gasket seemed to be leaking prior so I left it off till I got the replacement. Exhaust leak lessened. Replaced the gasket and the leak was immediate.
Through all this my o2 sensor codes will not go from not ready. Has anyone had a similar issue.
