So pull up a seat and get comfy this may take some time! Back in late June my wife was in an accident and our 13 Titanium was totaled. That started a process with Geico (that plays into this). They stated they settled our claim on July 5th and took our rental on the 8th. This isn’t about them so fast forward into mid August and we were finally able to start the buying process. A month and a half without a car at this point. We went with Carvana because they were great the last time we used them and for three of our kids, another family member and about six friends. That’s a lot of customers we sent to them. They had a decent selection and most of the places locally only had clapped out ST’s with who knows what wrong with them. So higher price was ok. Picked a 2013 Racing Blue ST3 with around 73,000 miles.. it wasnt going to be delivered till 9/7 (two months without a car). After it was scheduled I realized I had something I couldn’t get out of and asked to have the time only changed from 1030 to 7pm. Delivery date comes and I realize I never got a text or email reminding me my baby was being delivered so I call………. The first day they had “no idea why” my car wasn’t there. Finally they tell me when they changed the time they sold the car out from in under us! We spent the next two weeks fighting with Carvana and Geico. While waiting for our ST to be delivered the old car (which still wasn’t settled or paid off) went 65 days late and my credit got fucked. When I tried to buy a car my new terms were 30% APR and $8,800 down on a $21,000 car!! When I called Carvana I simply got “sorry. There’s nothing we can do for you” even though they were the ones who took the car from me and sold it away. I asked to honor the terms (which weren’t great) I originally had. I didn’t ask for a free car or even a half priced car for fucking me over but no… “sorry. There’s nothing we can do for you”. I finally got ahold of a lady, Caprice, and she was a life saver. She got me my old terms and I found a new ST. My current car. Delivery date was set for 9/20 (two and a half months without a car). 9/19 comes and I receive a text, not a call a text. Sorry there were logistical errors and your delivery date has been moved to 9/24 at 140pm. Guess who had shit going on at work at 140pm he couldn’t get out of? Yep!! This guy. When I called to see if they’d adjust it I got “sorry. There’s nothing we can do for you” except move it to five more days later on 9/29…… I made do and got there to pick up my car at 140pm and do the great vending machine (gimmick) since after all I paid $600 for being fucked over by them previously I mean to have my car delivered. When I get there the car isn’t in the vending machine in fact it’s still in “detailing” but it’s not detailing.. and I’m told there is damage to the car not previously noted on the cars page. There are several areas. On on the back passenger side, a scuff about 8” wide from the tail light to the bottom of the car that culminates in a scratch all the way down to the black plastic of the bumper and a few others. That’s not the most concerning though… even still with all the shit THERES MORE! I notice the paint on the hood looks flawless! Then I notice the over spray on the headlight and tire, the over spray on the FMIC and the tape on the front emblem and drivers headlight. MY car had been in some sort of crash or damage! It wasn’t a logistics error it was that they damaged the car and needed time to fix it. And what did I get? A full priced car that I didn’t even get to use the vending machine I paid for for delivery. The fucking hurts so bad that I almost have to sit funny thank god these seats are heavenly! Beware fam… carvana like all other car dealers will fuck you.
